What the app does with your funds, and what it does not do.
Pool markets are real onchain transactions
Betting on a pool market sends a transaction from your wallet to a smart contract on Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663). Stakes are paid in real ETH. A confirmed stake cannot be recalled, and a losing stake is not returned. Your wallet asks you to confirm every transaction before it is sent. Read each prompt.
Stakes are held by the contract, not by the operator. The contract has no function that lets the operator withdraw them. Payouts go directly from the contract to the wallets entitled to them.
How a payout is determined
Each market is a pari-mutuel pool. Both sides' stakes form one pot, and the winning side shares it in proportion to each stake. Your payout is therefore not fixed when you bet: further stakes on either side change it until the market closes. A displayed estimate is an illustration, not a quote and not a guarantee.
A single bet is capped at 1 ETH and a pool at 1000 ETH. Predix takes no fee. You still pay the network transaction fee for every action.
Who decides the outcome
The wallet that deployed the pool is its administrator and the only account that can resolve or cancel a market. There is no oracle and no automated settlement, so the recorded outcome is a decision by that account. Its address is shown in the app and readable onchain, so the account answering for each settlement is identifiable.
Three rules sit outside that decision. A cancelled market refunds every stake. A market with stakes on only one side refunds every stake. A market still unresolved seven days after its closing time becomes refundable and can no longer be resolved at all — that one runs on time alone and needs no cooperation from anyone.
Audit status and payout mechanics
The pool contract has not been reviewed by an independent security auditor. Its behaviour is fixed once deployed and its bytecode can be checked on the block explorer, but no external reviewer has examined it. Treat a stake as money placed at risk.
Payouts are sent with a limited gas allowance. A wallet that is itself a smart contract may fail to receive one. The claim is not lost in that case and can be retried, but a plain wallet address is the reliable choice.
Reference data and the local trade ticket
Public Chroma market data and token prices are provided for exploration. Their availability, completeness and freshness can vary, and price models do not settle any market. Predix does not execute trades on Chroma.
The share-price trade ticket is separate from pool markets. It records signed paper trades in your browser only. Those records have no cash value, move no funds and cannot be withdrawn.
Availability and your own responsibility
The app is provided as it is, without a guarantee of availability or correctness. Whether you may lawfully use a prediction market depends on where you are; that is your responsibility to establish.
